VFW Post 6562 located in Milford Ohio is named after LCpl. Dennis Johnson from the 1st squad 3rd platoon of Fox Company who was killed in action on March 28, 1969 on Dong Ma Mountain when his fire team was the lead element for 3rd platoon during a search and destroy operation  to the east of Dong Ha Mountain and FSB Fuller. Dennis's fire team was following a trail when they walked upon an NVA machine emplacement. Dennis was awarded the Silver Star during Operation Dewey Canyon when he helped rescue other Marines from a downed helicopter on FSB Erskin in the Ashau Valley.
